A Moonlight Dance

A moonlight dance under the stars
We can't touch, but, here we are
With each dance step our bodies feel
More in harmony, the rhythm's real
I feel the passion in your fingers
Your kiss upon my lips still lingers
With each caress our heartbeats race
Then the music stops...and leaves an empty space....

Open your eyes, I'm still here!
Reach out, touch me, I'm so near!
Take my hand, dance the dance
Hold me close, take the chance
A moonlight dance under the stars
We can't touch, but, here we are
Close your eyes and see my face
Open your mind...meet me in our special place....

The rhythm grows stronger, hold me, my dear
Swaying with the rhythm, I have no fears
The moon begins to ebb; the sun begins to rise
Look at me now, the truth is in my eyes
And as I fade with the moon, you saw my true heart
Remember the tear on my cheek as we part
Feel me as I place a last kiss upon your face
Meet me tomorrow night....in our special place......
